The symptoms may include repetitive thoughts about cute (or hot, sexy, etc.) Asian girls which can only be satisfied through hoarding mass photos or videos. I started collecting about 2 years ago and have around 60,000, which I believe is quite small when compared to some other people I know, who collect massive amounts of Japanese photobooks or have over 8,000 Hwang Mi Hee photos alone (*cough*). I’ve got about 17,000 floating around apparently, I’d probably have more if I saved more Korean and Chinese sets, but I save mostly Japanese ones due to them being more readily available via Jappydolls. Plus, I have limited space on my computer, 9.5 gigabytes is enough for now…

16,241. Mostly Korean and Japanese. This is an obsession that’s getting worse, I’m rarely attracted to non Asians now.
Thus is why I am moving away from Michigan. Its hard to find someone when your not interested to 90% of those around you.
@ Steve – Oh I do, I meant I have 9.5 gigs worth of said pictures, some of them freakishly high quality. I have about 35 and a half gigs left right now, and the several IV’s floating in my space has helped get that number to that point. At one point I deleted most of them, only to reacquire about as many over time. I has a sickness, and like you said, a cure does not exist.

Hmm just asian girls is hard to estimate since I have part of my collection in a grand folder that has other girls from around the world… but as a guess I will have to go with between 75k to 100k ^^;;
@Holy Toast – what is the most Asian state or city in the US? At least in Canada, Toronto has a ton of them and there’s a bunch in Vancouver

I have about 750k for KRQ and JPQ pic and about 3mills of other Asian girls such Hot Import Girls, Asian Celebrity etc….
LA or Chicago. Family members have told me to move to one of those places after college but I wanna go to the source, moving to Korea and maybe afterward Japan.

As a ballpark idea, I have nearly 1,000 photos of Mai Nishida, by far my favorite idol. I also have all 9 of her current DVD’s, adding up to a grand total of nearly 17 gigabytes with images and videos combined. As I said, there’s no hope for me.
I’m also in possession of a concert ticket for the Chicago House of Blues to see Utada Hikaru(宇多田ヒカル) in concert next week, my favorite singer and by far favorite person ever. I got this ticket from some jerk who bought it for $20 to sell it for $150 on Amazon. So my obsession has cost me $150 for that one event alone.
At this point, if there was a cure, taking it wouldn’t really be worth it.
Im sure. The main reason for starting in Korea is I know several koreans so it will be easier to get adjusted and everything when I move. But if I don’t find a reason to settle down there after a few years I will go to Japan.

I don’t know the exact number.But I know that the size of the file where I put these pictures in is more than 3GB.So that’s a lot,I suppose.
@ epo – I think the lady I have the most of is Kipi at around 2,000, then Mai. If its based on gigs alone, definitely Mai thanks to the 9 DVDS. Sorry I couldn’t go to that concert with you by the way

I think I have good reason for it though. She essentially started my fascination for Japanese music, she can be absolutely gorgeous when she wants to be, and she has the voice of an angel. /end fanboy rant
Since this is a number spec, I compiled further information. I have approximately 30gb with all pictures and IV’s combined. So that’s where all that space went…
@epo – my friend saw Utada in Seattle last week (Thursday I think), he said she sang so well that it sounded like she was lip syncing…so definitely something to look forward to

@ Steve – Apparently at her last concert in San Francisco there was an accident where her mic got unplugged, which immediately halted her singing ability for the moment. After the song she commented with something like, “Well, at least now you all know that I don’t lip-sync” while laughing.
I’ve been following her fansite for the past week or so, and some people managed to sneak cameras in, so I’ve seen low quality clips of different parts of the concerts. The tracklist is about half Japanese and half English songs, which was surprising considering this tour was mostly to support her new English album. From what I’ve seen and heard, her performance is better than even her big 2006 tour, which has got me real excited.
@ Toast – I think I’m sorry about that, though you don’t really complain about it. I’m guessing you’re not resentful about it in the least.

I would say around 10,000. Hwang Mi Hee, Han Ga Eun, Mikako1984, Yuko Ogura, and Yumi Sugimoto have definately contributed to that number.
Though my CAGOCD has gotten a little better (I don’t really think about them much anymore) since I started dating my girlfriend (who is Black).

I’m one of those people with over 8000 photos of Hwang Mi Hee, and probably a few others after I did a massive upload a while back.
If I had the time like I used to, my collection would be huge, but I’m guessing I am at 250,000+ of just Asians. But I can’t classify myself as having a disorder because that would mean that I have a problem which of course I do not have. I just love the most beautiful women in the world.

I found that having a ‘Cute Asian’ as a girlfriend is a cure. But since they are never that cute in reality as they are in our photoshopped imagination… Break-ups bring back the disorder with a vengeance.
Got about 7000, but I edit through every set that I download, and delete about 70%-80% that I don’t find great.

@ Ma Jie Mao – Thanks bro. Yeah I had heart surgery at U of M in Ann Arbor 3 years ago. Unfortunately I was in a hospital bed for a week and a half so I never got to see the locals.
I’m planing to do my last 2 years of college at Easter Michigan which is near there though. As I said before, I’m going with Korean first over Japan just because of the convince of knowing people who are helping me with the language and getting settled there. As a 20 year old who’s never lived on his own I’m going to take all the help I can get the first time. (I would actually be about 22 by then but that isn’t the point I guess.)
How is China? I would love to learn the language but I get the feeling being an American in China isn’t the greatest idea. But I may be politically paranoid.

@Holy Toast- I have lived in Korea a year and its a nice country and all, but China is a great place, so much to explore, so many people to meet and they all treat you much better then Koreans, mainly a lot of Koreans sick of the American military hanging around. You got more of a chance getting in trouble there then in China.
@ Ma Jie Mao – Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I would love to go there, I just wasn’t sure if the government would be hostile to Americans or not. I’ve heard some scary things from people how have been there.
pues yo tengo cerca de 2 GB solo de imagenes que serian unas 7,600 esto debido aque llego tal punto que tenia tantas que mi computadora tardaba mucho en leerlas asi que decidi escojer solo las mas impresionantes y les aplique compresion a las imagenes aproximadamente 40% del original. Por tanto mi colección original estaria rondando las 25,000 o 30,000 imagenes.

I’ve lived in Shanghai for a year and never really had to deal with any authorities, except the annoying ones with whistles stopping people from crossing the street on a red light. The omni-presence of the Chinese government is a big myth.
As long as you bring money (ie are a foreigner) the Chinese authorities will be happy to have you.
I’ve never experienced any form of trouble anywhere in east Asia, while most of them assume by default everyone to be an American. Their mood often changed after explaining that I was in fact from Helan/Olanda.
I started around 6 months ago with a few pics, now I have 15k and 5.54 GB, I try to have each girl with her own folder being Yumi Sugimoto & Rina Akiyama the ones with more pics inside their respective folders.
