Oricon had released the results of their poll back in August, but I didn’t find out until recently. They had polled 600 Japanese men asking who their favourite gravure models were. As I searched for nice photos of the top 10, I was filled with intense bitterness each time I saw a model I found less attractive than Nozomi Sasaki.

Yukie Kawamura and Mikie Hara are the only two from that list that I really care about. Then I only recognize those two and Aki Hoshino. Never been a huge fan of her. Don’t know why. Oh, and Yuko too, but I’ve never really felt comfortable seeing her in gravure style shoots. She looks a bit too young at times.
Seeing their competition, I don’t understand why Yumi and Nozomi weren’t in there somewhere.

I would say Nozomi Sasaki and Yumi Sugimoto are more into fashion rather than gravure. Their body are rather elongated instead of shapely

I agree Nozomi is better than most in this thing but at least Mikie and Yukie are here.
Personally I have to say Mai Nishida blow all these girls miles away but maybe shes a different kind of model or something. I don’t think so but whatever.
Bad poll..maybe jap`s men dont have a high class taste for a woman beauty..pity them..on the bright side Yumi would not be stealed by jap`s men..
I’m sad that both Yumi and Nozomi didn’t make it.
But on the flip-side, Yoko Kumada (number 7) looks like a hottie.
The more I look at this list, it seems more of the veteran/older gravure models are on it, which means they’re most likely much well known than their younger counterparts.

Mai Nishida is as far beyond any of these models as they are beyond the old hag who lives down the road. She’s also relatively new, so maybe these Japanese men don’t appreciate real beauty or haven’t heard of her yet. But Mai is perfect.
Having said that, I wouldn’t say no to any of these girls though. Except maybe Mikie, I really don’t like her face. Maomi Yuuki is very hot and Sayako Isoyama, very cute. I want to keep an eye on them.
I think though, the fact that I haven’t heard of most of these Jap models just goes to show how biast this site is towards Koreans. If you are going to split the site you really should do it by country and give the Japanese some more exposure.

@ Matt – Well, there’s so many more gravure models compared to KRQ’s. If you follow RCA’s brother site, Jappydolls, then you’d probably know all of the top 10 on this list. It has nothing to do with RCA showing more Koreans than Japanese, nor is it RCA’s fault that you don’t know more gravure models than KRQ’s. If you think about it, gravure models usually only come out with photobooks and dvds, that usually have alot of time in between each release, but KRQ’s do photo shoots, race events and various other stuff like electronic expos and etc, pretty much all year round. So, the authors here usually have more KRQ material than gravure models due to KRQ’s steady pace of events and so on.
sayaka isoyama and yukie kawamura are hands down the best looking, and their personalities make them so much hotter. i want to make love to both of them.

To begin with, the bottom line is
that the list, like that “Meikingu Out . . .” book,
is, in a sense, (just) a humorous read . . .
What the English version does not include,
includes the AGE BRACKET of the O. male participants
(ranging from teen to forty-something years old), etc.
There are also several other factors that, simply put,
“understandably” render this list something relatively peculiar
to many RCA readers . . .
E.g.: Just think (of) any of two different mags
(English-language edition), and, say, their “s-xi-st wom-n alive”
lists, or even better & clearer, their “s-xi-st m-n alive,”
and (see) if you want M. Gibson’s name to come up, or say,
any Tw-light dudes’ (to come up instead). . .
PS: Some of these models on the Top 10 list are
relatively well-established and well respectable in J G market (though).
SAS-KI is, IMO, never big in G market.
As for SUG-M-T-, in G market, she, in comparison with SAS-KI,
is a (more) major draw; but she (SUG-M-T-) herself, IMO, also has
her own “guideline” (limitation to draw) . . .

Guys, maybe it is true what a lot of Asian guys say about Western men’s taste in Asian women versus theirs — they’re quite different. That’s not to say one side is right or wrong, just different.
Two, what’s up with so many posters using “jap”/”Jap”? That’s a racial slur dating back to WWII. We all can do better than that, especially if you are intending to be praising the model, not slurring her.
@ TYLER – I think the reason it was removed was to save bandwidth or something like that. A few days ago RCA was shut down for most of the day due to the server kicking us off temporarily. I miss the Recent Comments tab as well, it was useful for seeing what people were up to. I suppose you could always use the Comments link in the top right corner, it takes you to a bigger page that works the same way as the recent comments section. Hope this helps.
@epo – yes you are correct, I am reducing database calls by removing that recent comments in the sidebar and the popular posts is now static and will be updated maybe bi-weekly because it rarely changes. Also, you are right, the comment rss is much better and that’s what I usually look at

@Matt – of course RCA has biases…but keep in mind that we’re biased towards models we like. For me, I personally don’t like a lot of the models in this list, which is why I don’t post them
