One of the magazines I was considering buying was the June 2009 edition of PINKY magazine. I saw it on sale at the TSUTAYA book store in Tokyo Midtown. However, I chickened out because there was a group of Japanese girls crowding around the girl magazines and it would seem awkward to get in there and grab it. Also, the 600 yen (approximately $6USD or $7CDN) price tag didn’t help either. Sorry Nozomi-chan, looks like I couldn’t buy your magazine after all

You’re a sissy, you should’ve done it anyway.
I don’t mean to talk crap, but if CW thinks it’s manly to just walk up and buy girl fashion magazines, maybe he’s the one who needs to relearn his social skills…
Steve, you was in a place where nobody knows you, you should buy it, how cares what they think
or you could interact with the girls XDDD just for fun
I don’t think any japanese girl would freak out because of that, but they would surely think that either you’re an otaku or you’re buying it for your girlfriend. In your case, the gaijin factor would have been the perfect ice-breaker though.
The price on the other hand… well, it’s not like Nozomi’s in all the mag’s pages, 6 bucks could buy a meal.
I guess I am a cheap sissy then
Are you still in Japan?
@Hideki – No I just got back yesterday night
Here’s an unreleated question,
Why the price tags on third page are in $ not yen?
Steve, who’s the girl in your avatar?
Steve: You should have bought it
i’m with steve on this one.
as a self-conscious male, i’d no more purchase this magazine than i would a copy of cosmo or or something that happens to have a hot woman in it that i like.
I dream Nozomi-Pinky
@affi: ever heard of the concept of saying someting *in jest*?
I probably wouldn’t have bought it, either. Even if no one was looking.
i bought it ^^
With girls like this? I want to go to JAPAN!!
really cute girl…
