There’s something new in the top sidebar! To thank the partners of Really Cute Asians who frequently link here or bring traffic to this site, I have put a rotating carousel with links to interesting posts. Hopefully you’ll also enjoy these posts and give them a visit :)

If you mouseover the image, you will stop the carousel or you can use the arrows to navigate manually. Also, you can visit the post by simply clicking the image or text.

I had no patience to learn jQuery, so I used the easy-to-use jCarousel JQuery plugin and just modified the skin. I am currently measuring outgoing clicks from the carousel to determine how useful it actually is, so it’s still in testing phase.

Note: jQuery is only supported by Firefox 2.0+, IE 6+, Safari 3+, Opera 9+, and Chrome 1+

Enjoy!

Really? What browser are you using? O_o

I have tried it out on FireFox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari and it looked okay

  3. @Steve: Korean IE

  4. Steve says:

Well, jQuery only works with IE6+, so maybe that’s why?

  5. @Steve: Strange, it’s IE6

  6. Al says:

    Tip: it changes too fast

  7. Steve says:

@Cutkillavince – hopefully the blue box doesn’t look too ugly. I have put a screenshot so you can see what you are missing :(

@AI – thanks for the tip :) Changed it to 4 seconds

  8. Afaldar says:

I agree, it changes too fast

Another tip … when click, it must open a new target blank. At this moment it close this page.

  9. Steve says:

@Afaldar – I agree that the old time of 2 second interval was too fast, but is 4 seconds still too fast?

I changed the targets to a new window.

    Thanks for your input

  10. @Steve: I tried with another computer, it works fine this time, cool stuff ;)

  11. Steve says:

@Cutkillavince – whew, glad you could see it :)

  12. Hideki says:

I’m liking how great the site is starting to look man, I usually visit some of your partner sites when I see the name of someone I like, so this works great for me.

Keep up the great work, I never post in here but I couldn’t keep quiet!! kudos to you man!!

I like it too! Something as simple as that made such a big difference. At least now we know what your affiliates are posting.
    :D

  18. Mattias says:

Absolute knockout “Widget” Love it Steve!!! Hmmm wondering if i can use it as well now :P

  19. Afaldar says:

4 seconds is a good avegared time

    Great job

  20. ffSeeD says:

    nice!!

  21. Steve says:

    Thanks for everyone’s kind words

@Mattias – it should work on blogger since it’s JavaScript. Blogger images are kinda funky, so I’m not sure if you would need to host it elsewhere. The jquery and jcarousel files will most definitely need to be hosted somewhere else
