Slight Delays with Fiona Sit to Cheer You Up

From now until around the 25th of April, I’ll be busy with end of term assignments and studying for finals (ah…the life of a student), so I may need to delay some of these photo scavenger hunt posts as they are the most time consuming. I have a fairly large photo backlog right now, including some that people have sent, so sorry if I don’t get to them soon. I’ll try to get to them during my breaks.

For sure the home banner contest #2 is still going to happen and Yumi Sugimoto’s birthday post :)

Here’s a one shot of popular CPop singer Fiona Sit making funny faces.

Whether you are/were a Computer Science major student — or, like myself, not one — you may find the ensuing quote amusing. w w w

The following, which I read on the internet a week ago, may be the COOLEST wrong answer (to a Computer Science question) in the world:

Q (rephrased): Define the term “compiler”.

A (and I quote): “A compiler’s primary function is to compile, organize the compilation, and go right back to compiling. It compiles basically only those things that require to be compiled, ignoring things that should not be compiled. The main way a compiler compiles, is to compile the things to be compiled until the compilation is complete.” (Reportedly written by an American student during a introductory Computer Science course)

    Priceless! ^^

By the way, good luck with the upcoming exams; and (in case you’re a Computer Sci major student), if you’ve written a 5GL just to help make your life easier, whatever you do, don’t ask your AI’s to count sheep – these machines could end up . . . falling asleep!

    PS: Fiona rules! ^^

@ffSeeD – such yummy motivation. That would be enough motivation to do anything
@Tyler – I’ve come up with worse definitions in my comp sci exams :)

You sure are knowledgeable in techy things like 5GL and compilers, are you in the tech industry too? (You did guess right if you thought I was a CS major)

“There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don’t”

    “There’s no place like 127.0.0.1″

  4. Good luck Steve ;)

haha I remember when i used to do the thing in the 3rd pic on the top with my hands.

  6. king says:

    Steve..how old are you now.?

  7. Steve says:

I’m born same year as Kim Ha Yul, so currently 22 XD (another reason why she’s perfect for me)

I have a feeling that most people who read this site are older than me

  8. yoroko says:

Oh!God! Mr.Steve, would you tell me who is your photo’ girl?! She’s quite pretty in her Maid Costume^^
but,I am sorry to cut a flow of the conversation.

    @ Steve-san:

That’s an odd question, to begin with. :-)

Hmm . . . I’ve never written a flight simulator; never changed the value of 4 – UNINTENTIONALLY! ^ ^ . . . , and what’s more, in a language other than Fortran; never named a computer nor talked to one; never known how many “days” old eye yam; never wanted to download pizza ^O^; never recite “Jabberwocky” – BACKWARDS! LOL; never seen Wargames; never patched binary code . . . while the program was running ^O^; never witnessed a disk drive WALKING!; never made a line printer picture; never written a CLIST; never been able to see “voice mail”; never made a lace card; never played Wumpus nor Empire . . . ; and, Steve-san, if you still remember – I just learned via our online correspondence what the freaky word “NSFW” stands for, from you, a few weeks ago, LMAOL . . . ^O^

Though I had for long used Wordstar and WordPerfect as a toddler, once knew a guy named Bill, could whistle a telephone number, occasionally digitalized a picture, have written comments in non-native languages, corresponded with a guy named Steve ^^; and a sexy girl next door with some “pulmonary” situation “a la Lim Ji-Hye” ^^ used to knock on my door and asked for a cookie once ^^ . . .

So (working on Boolean, tut tut tut . . . tut tut tut) the answer is “NULL”. *^__^*

    Now come to think about it, Steve-san, your q is quite scary . . . :P . . . LOL

@sTEVE ..most ppl who went to this TYPE of site is teen..like me :) (i`m 17…so suitable with my Yumi Sugimoto..but still #3 fan of YUMI :) )

  11. Steve says:

@yoroko – maid costume? If you are talking about my avatar it is Kim Ha Yul in a toque

@Tyler – when you say Boolean answer = null it makes me believe that you are techy :) Most people would only use the allowable values of true or false for the primitive type version of boolean, yet you chose the class representation

@King – luckily this site is safe for all ages :)

  12. yoroko says:

    Thanx Mr.Steve!! I can find the photo^^
    It was my misunderstanding to say maid costume(–;
