Site Report – March 2009

Thank you so much for your continual support of Really Cute Asians. Whether it be promoting this site, leaving comments, participating in polls, or submitting photos, you are helping this site out. It has made posts like which size you prefer a place for humerous discussion. This site grew a lot quicker than I had expected with over 200,000 unique visitors and over 1,200,000 page views this month (about a 60% increase from last month).

Powered by Referrals
Over 50% of the traffic to Really Cute Asians this month was through referrals. So without people’s help, this site wouldn’t get nearly as much traffic. I have my fingers crossed for better search engine priority in the months to come.

What Happen to the Google Ads?
I know what you’re thinking, what happen to all those lovely Google ads? Reallycuteasians.net joins the dreaded Google Adsense blacklist. They weren’t too pleased with some of the content, with the glasses girl gallery being one of the posts they mentioned. So it’s up to Hwang Mi Hee Fan to support the hosting costs. Adbrite used to be good 8 months ago, but now their ads are so terrible that it’s not even worth the space it takes up.

Why Aren’t You Updating the Hwang Mi Hee Fan Gallery?
Hwang Mi Hee Fan is using photos from this site because having too many people using the gallery at once will cause the server to die…and that’s no good.

Google is offended by cute girls in glasses???

  2. Steve says:

Apparently it was too “sexy” for them to handle

  3. Locutis says:

Hmm so RCA is to sexy for google
I hope HMH fan does well enough to support the hosting costs *wonders over there and clicks on a banner or two*

Steve: Didnt noticed about the google ads till u mentioned it. Im not too sure how they deem what is decent, what isnt… but IMHO, i think anything that slows a hint of “flesh” is outrite banned..based on what i see..but then i see many sites that show otherwise; still serving the ads… ‘Full clothing’ is fine like those Korean Racequeens… Unless you can somehow show selective ads like what they mention in their policy rules… only serve ads in pages that show “approved” content.

  5. Steve says:

With a bit of programming, you can display ads selectively on WordPress (say, only show for Korean photos). I got too greedy :(

  6. Krunk says:

Have you considered something like Project Wonderful? I’ve been using them for a few months and it’s a lot better than both Google Ads and AdBrite.

  7. Hao says:

Great site, keep it going ^^ more cute asians FTW!

Bad to know that you were blacklisted by Google. If it was good enough a support for your website you should consider adding ads in more “friendly” pages as some people suggested, though that may be a little hard. Though it depends on how good adsense was faring for you :)

  8. Steve says:

@Krunk – I used to use Project Wonderful on the old site, but I think they undervalue a site’s worth. The ads were usually irrelevant and looked unprofessional, so no one cared

I’ll think of something, I don’t mind this site being (nearly) ad-free :)

@Hao – hopefully people will know that sexy photos + adsense does not mix well and not make the same mistake

  9. Neil Duckett says:

Adsense policy sucks mate, I had to ditch it over 1 or 2 posts. Nice growth with the site and thanks for sending traffic back my way!

  10. Nice stats, congrats Steve ;)
