February was another month of growth for Really Cute Asians with the help of many readers and fans. This site has always been a word-of-mouth blog, so thank you for continuously promoting this site. The site is rapidly growing with over 124,000 unique visitors and over 655,000 page views this month.
Thanks to Hideki and Cutkillavince, we were able to get 138 posts this month which is approximately 5 posts per day. Hopefully people are enjoying the frequent updates
I would like to thank the site’s top referring partners:
- Aadx from Jappydolls – no surprises here, Jappydolls has always been #1
- Daimaou and Cutkillavince (yes, Cutkillavince is everywhere) from Akihabara News
- Danny Choo with Otaku.fm
- Neil Duckett from Neil Duckett – an excellent source of interesting Japanese news, among many things
- Artefact from Sankaku Complex
- The admin from JapanSugoi
- Mattias from Idol Retouch – plenty of custom wallpapers and album uploads
- The admin from Top Asian Models – your fix for import models
- Cutkillavince from Cutkillavince’s Weblog – fellow site author
- The admin from Top Sexy Women.net – tired of Asian models? Plenty of Hollywood celebrities here
Post Distribution
The approximate distribution (give or take a few posts for overlap) is 59 Korean, 50 Japanese, 14 Chinese, and 5 Taiwanese. The site will still focus primarily on Korean and Japanese models. Hopefully in time, more Chinese and Taiwanese posts will come once we find good sources for new photos. Some people have asked for other elasticities, but there just isn’t enough time in the day to cover everything.
Oh Google Where Art Thou?
Right now this site has terrible search engine priority, since the domain is only 2.5 months old, so hopefully it’ll improve
On the Lookout for Hosting
A few times this month, the host gets overloaded and the site cannot be accessed. I’ve been told that the gallery used by Hwang Mi Hee Fan (shares hosting) can cause that. I was thinking of trying dedicated hosting but unfortunately basic dedicated hosting from my hosting company $174USD without unlimited bandwidth. The package comes with 100GB/month with $2/GB extra. Right now RCA and HMH Fan consume 700GB per month so I will go broke. If anyone knows any good hosts, please do tell!

On a personal note, in turn I found your unrivalled devotion to Ms. Kim Ha-Yul yielding a sweet fruition — so well “palpable” like those luscious, big, round . . . er . . . eyes of Ms. Han Jang-Hee’s.
If one types the words “Kim Ha Yul” on Google (so I did myself), virtually every road (figure of speech), rather than to Rome, leads back to ReallyCuteAsians!
Kudos to you, and two thumbs up to RCA!
In my book, currently, you are “literally” and predominantly dominating the first few pages of Google by the words “Kim Ha Yul” in English!

Is “eyes” the usual term? I only knew about the alternate meaning when I started reading Danny Choo’s website
Korean racing models don’t get searched as much as you’d think. For the most part, I don’t think they are popular enough. Even Hwang Mi Hee fan with the #1 term for Hwang Mi Hee on Google doesn’t do a whole lot. If you can get Princess Yumi or Lady Nozomi, you will be set for life ^^
Congrats Steve
I currently use justhost.com for my hosting and they’ve been pretty good so far.
I currently receive
Unlimited bandwidth
Unlimited storage
Unlimited emails
Unlimited domain add-ons
3 free domains for life
I pay $214 for two years (to setup the acc without any add activation fees, you need to sign up under the prepaid 2 year contract)
I don’t know if they’ll raise the hosting price after the first two years, but hopefully not.
Holy shit that’s alot of gigs man, I’d donate if I could but alas no paypal or credit card yet. =/ Well I can help by spreading the word at least lol, so far I’ve gotten 10 friends hooked to the site. O_O
Nice going Steve, I’m sure it will continually grow. Out of interest, what stats package are you using for the numbers? Mine differ so much depending on what I use.
@cut – thanks for your help!
@drknkook – I am currently using HostGator, which is pretty popular due to its reliability. I’d imagine the plan you mentioned is not for dedicated hosts though…because that would be mighty cheap
@toydemon – I don’t think I’ll ever accept donations, it would put an incredible pressure to post stuff. I would prefer to use minimal advertisement (I think right now it is minimal) so it doesn’t cost readers anything out of their own pockets. If it starts being problematic, I’ll move HMH Fan to another host. BTW, Thanks for getting your friends hooked
First of all, my previous (positive) observation was entirely based on the artistic point of view, rather than on pragmatism or the entrepreneurial standpoint. And I did not seek to challenge the credibility of your foolproof, scientifically-compiled database – there is no point for doing so (since you run the site and gain access to everything).
Au contraire, I took the liberty, as a fan, virtually commercial-free, of giving you a big Kudos “predominantly” for your “personal” dedication and devotion towards the Korean model in question (after all, I believe this is purely a case of Labour of Love on your side; besides, we both realise Korean race queens are not a huge draw compared to the Japanese counterpart – no offense to the fans, though).
On a personal note, I prefer RCA to many others — everything is “well-defined,” clear and well-set (I despise trifles and hassles, except when it comes to creating a work of art) — even though, IMO, “the Japanese idols inventory” is relatively insubstantial. But to take into account your situation, from the marketing point of view, “I feel you,” and I agree that a big draw like my Little Princess Yumi or Lady Nozomi would be appreciated.
But as far as the entire and pure aspect of Art and Simplicity (this being a compliment) are concerned, RCA rules n rock-n-roll!
Have a nice day.

@Neil – I use 3 stats packages (each has its pros and cons):
1) StatCounter
2) Sitemeter
3) Google Analytics
Monthly stats are based on Google Analytics
Oddly enough, each stat counter has different results. For example, yesterday StatCounter recorded 9,164 UV and 25,194 page views, Sitemeter recorded 6,257 and 25,428 page views, and GA recorded 5,343 UV with 26,553 page views. I find that StatCounter and Sitemeter may overcount UV but have fairly accurate page views, but GA undercounts UV but has a slightly inflated page views.
I use GA in general, because other blogs base statistics off from it. So if everyone has an undercount problem, it’s easier to compare.
Based on your site source, I see you are using GA and StatCounter, so I would imagine the stats are waaaay off when compared against each other. I use Sitemeter for real-time because I find that it’s closer to GA accuracy when compared to StatCounter. I use StatCounter to track outgoing links, but as I found out recently, it overcounts when compared to GA (since I put outgoing tracking on RSS feed widgets).
@Tyler – I completely agree that Korean (racing) models are less popular than Japanese models (Japanese posts generally have higher view counts than Korean posts). As you say, it is a labor of love since regardless of popularity, I would keep sharing my favourite photos of Korean models.
I’ve always adored both Korean and Japanese models so it would be very difficult to have a pure Japanese site, even though it would be more marketable. I think one of the unique aspects of RCA is the balance between Korean, Japanese, and Chinese models (not too broad but not too specific either)
I’m glad you enjoy this site and I always appreciate your detailed comments ^^
Cheers Steve. I use statcounter for the real time stats and like you GA for the numbers because that`s an easy standards that everyone uses, albeit the numbers are down on the others due to not seeing visits with javascript disabled. As long as you measure with the same tool each time you can recognize the trend of the site which is what i care about …. the % growth rather than the actual numbers. I have resisted in using webalizer like Danny because the numbers really do take into account a lot of robot action and i dont think its really representative of my sites traffic (e.g .. 8 pages per user)
Rock on for a bigger month in March!!
Congrats Steve! (and the RCA team) …RCA content is just unparalleled in terms of “babe content”, just awesome work guys! BTW, ive been missing almost a week of RCA (my comp just wont load images from this blog and Jappydolls, weird) today is fine tho’ hmmm…. Been missing those KHY posts!!! Thanks again!
Thanks Neil, I forgot that GA doesn’t work without JS enabled. Yes, I also look at % growth when doing trend analysis…absolute numbers can be deceiving
Ah Mattias..a week missed of RCA and Jappydolls is like 60 posts combined
The funny thing is, if you miss one day of checking the site, with the rate at which you guys post you can fall behind so easily. You’ve done a great job with everything.
I hope that the hosting / traffic issues don’t get so mammoth that they overwhelm you. The amount of visitors, however, is bound to continue growing throughout this year!
I appreciate both the Japanese and Korean models that are highlighted here. I especially appreciate the amount of KHY love that is being given.
Please show more picture about Aya Hirano! I’m a big fan of her!
