Thanks to hanhan for this informative post on Aya Hirano In Borneo Post. You may recall the otaku hype when Aya Hirano visited Malaysia in December.
A daily newspaper, named the Boreno Post, has an advertisement in the classified section, which steals Aya-chan’s image to sell laptops with government discounts.
According to hanhan (with minor changes),
Translation:
1.Khas Untuk Kakitangan kerajaan. = specially for civil servant
2. Dapatkan Komputer impian anda melalui potongan payslip = get your dream computer through payslip discounts
3. Aya Hirano : “Kelulusan Dijamin Satu Hari” = Approved within one day!

Really? Damn! I should buy this newspaper.. Will check if this ads also in “Daily Express” which is my daily newspaper.
The case of Aya-chan’s unendorsed ad represents a teardrop in the Pacific (here’s your sigh: Duh-ometer – 10/10). Many cases in similar fashion linger on – virtually intact. Whether the Japanese subjects simply have it ignored or they have never learnt of their own cases – it remains a mystery.
Worse come to worst, in this very case (rolling eyes): (Eye mean) Just look at the illustration; the Es’ Oh Bee who do it didn’t even know how to work “nicely” on the composite.
The ad simply looks bland like a piece of smelly “natto” to me.
Eye’m not digging it, dudes. Next time, if u’re gonna steal it, make it nicer; learn the art of savoir vivre on YouTube channels – methinks there is just everything there! Or better still; check out Japanese ads or the French counterparts for wisdom, dudes.
For this merde (Pardon my French, literally!), my Duh-ometer is 10 out of 10.

lol. this really makes my day, hirano aya speaking malay and all. lol.
will her manager sue for using her picture for commercial use?
I agree with Tyler that it’s a terrible steal. Poor photoshopping too
I’m not sure how much money you would get for suing a company that sells laptops in the classified section. Maybe die-hard Aya fans will report it.
Incidentally, all my babbling aside, Aya-chan looks really lovely in the Malay traditional Kimo . . ., er, well, hmm, I mean, . . . “Baju”.
(One must always take precaution not to cause the Asia-Pacific war between Japan and her neighbour employing a badly-choiced word!)
me malaysian..proud of this..(japan`s goddess finally come to this small country)
REAALLY hope YUMI SUGIMOTO can also come to MALAYSIA someday !!
