It looks like when Aya-chan goes traveling, she needs to worry about more than just terrorism. The likelihood of her being killed or kidnapped by Otaku is surprisingly high. Artefact posted an article on how Malaysian Otakus are stalking Aya Hirano, when she was discovered on their home turf.
So how far would they go?
Search parties were being organised, and observers began the painstaking process of calculating her precise hotel room and floor from a grainy shot taken out of a hotel window with a mobile phone, and it seems unlikely the stalkers will give up until she is sighted safely back in Japan.
Let’s just hope that if she gets caught, she won’t be ceremonially sacrificed to Suzumiya Haruhi.

Apologies in advance if I offend anyone.
Not sure if it’s a stereotype. But it seems that Malaysian and Singapore fans tend to be more enthusiastic for idols that might be minor celebrities in their home countries. But because anime and music are main exports, fandom is more focused and extreme.
I think being mugged for autographs / groped might be likely, but kidnapping seems unlikely
what terrorism?
